The New Tata Nexon EV Max Arrives & Here Are The Details

Tata Motors launched a long-range version of the Nexon EV in the Indian market called the Tata Nexon EV Max which is top of the line among subcompact sport utility vehicles (SUVs). Tata released multiple teasers that confirm that the 2022 Nexon EV Max will offer a real-world range of over 300kms. Tata promises acceleration to 100 km / h in 9 seconds, while the maximum speed is limited to around 140 km / h. All this is achieved thanks to the 143 hp electric motor with a torque of 250 Nm.

At the same time, Tata Nexon Max supports fast charging with a power of 50 kW, which will allow you to charge the battery from 0% to 80% in 56 minutes. The outgoing Nexon EV comes with a 3.3kW AC charger, which takes around 10 hours to fully charge the battery. With a larger capacity charger, the new EV Max is likely to take around 6 hours to fully charge.

The Nexon EV Max is likely to come with selectable regeneration modes for adjusting the intensity of regenerative braking. The SUV is also anticipated to acquire features like an air purifier, a wireless charging system, an electronic stability program (ESP), ventilated seats, cruise control, and a park mode. The SUV could get a rear disc brake. The teaser also indicates that the new model will come with an electronic parking brake with auto hold and an illuminated gear selector.

Tata Motors' Nexon EV, one of India's best-selling electric four-wheelers, debuted in 2019, is expected to be sold alongside the new EV Max. The standard Nexon EV is priced between ₹ 14.54 lakh and ₹ 17.15 lakh. The vehicle will cost around  17.74 lakh (ex-showroom all India). The high-end model of Tata Nexon EV Max has been priced at  19.24 lakh.
